When I was 17 years old, 1978 the Widowmaker was the first bike that scared me. Triple 2-stroke was THE bike to have back in the day.

also rode this one, but the frame was weak. When I cornered, it started yawing. When it was really bad, I couldn't correct it and I got into the opposite lane and thought I was going to die. I thought I would die if I continued riding this bike, so I sold it. I bought it after the K0, and it's much lighter than the K0 and the acceleration is amazing! If you don't start carefully, you'll start doing wheelies right away.

Wasn't the 500 known as the Mach III and the 750, the Mach IV? It's a long time ago. I remember riding one for a friend (it was 4 sale and my friend was very inexperienced) and shit, did it go. Pity it didn't have any brakes worth talking about tho. Single leading shoe drums from memory. Still, what a blast.

Sounds and looks like mine was only yours looks like it is brand new!!! Scary fast and the handlebars would shake and she was skittish as heck as you neared 100MPH (160 KPH). Nothing ever beat me off the line. NOTHING!! And many tried and mostly I only had to cruise away! It only had 75HP and always sounded as if it was full of marbles and smoked like heck when it was first started. Yowza What a bike!

I could start up at Suzuki GT750 "Kettle" using one hand, Ok a darn stupid thing to do
but two stroke engines don't kick back like four stroke engines. Don't try this, its just
that I had just finished a top end rebuild on the bike and could not be bothered to get
up and sit on it to kick start the bike in the conventional way.
