Lindsey, you did a great job in the beginning getting the students involved. This helped the students see up front the importance of punctuation in sentences. The exercise allowed the students to see first hand how punctuation can add or take away from certain sentences in different circumstances. This lesson did require a lot of talking amongst peers, but I feel you as the instructor moved the class along and kept them on task for the most part.

Your example of the first sentence on the board showed students how important punctuation was from the start and set up the argument for the lesson. I thought splitting the class into two groups and asking them to do opposing things was really interesting and really cool. It was cool to think that they could take the same content and portray different meanings. I can totally see how this relates to our rhetoric ideas in class where we are asked to expand our lessons into improving our own works.

Lindsey, I think you did a good job with your lesson and making it rhetoric centered. You're lesson was interesting and engaging for all of the students. By making the lesson relative to situations they would or have really experienced, I think you provoked their interest. I also like that you moved aroud a lot, always ready to help any student that had a question. The only thing I didn't see was an assessment. I'm not sure how you're suppose to judge whether or not they learned the lesson.
