All of this could have been avoided had he just left OP alone. He could've kept his job, friends, and even himself. But he didn't, he thought to just keep tormenting someone that was already down.

Basically people thought “ brother “ was the father of the kid and thats why she kept him around and defended him and not caring that he would be a rotten influence on the kid, my friend said she was surprised that he didn’t sell the kid and steal everything in the apartment and flee but basically thinks he destroyed his brain so much with drugs it never came across his mind

The thing I find funniest about this situation, is when the "Brother" first met Op he greeted him with a pistol in the face. Add the fact he lived with him for a bit, so he knew he owned firearms and was trained with them. Yet he still thought him and his three friends jumping Op at his own home was a good idea. I feel sorry for Op feeling guilt for ending three sum bags, and crippling a fourth, but this just speaks to his character. I doubt the "brother" or Ex would have cared if things had went the other way.

To be honest I think it was a good thing that OP didn’t get back with her. She knew her bro was the problem and she cared more about protecting him than this good man that cared about her and her kid. Didn’t even care how he was treating him, how he sent people after OP, because you know he wasn’t smart enough to keep it secret. Or how bro was very obvious trying to send OP to the hospital, if not just full on killing him.

Had a thug wanna be in her house eating all her food trashing the place and getting high with her daughter in the damn house. Connections to bad people that tried to commit arson to an apartment building, and the guy who showed he would protect both of them in the heartbeat is who she was afraid of?
