I broke my left wrist in my late teens (I'm 40 now) and it's been bothering me ever since when doing regular push ups so I often skipped it. With these, no issues at all. They're truly a blessing and I can dish out my sets without any problems :)

From my 1.5 year experience in training, the good tactics if you want to gain muscles is to make push-ups with some additional weight(i`m using regular backpack with weights in it, but vest might be better, if you have back problems it is better to train with dumbbells on bench). You should not be able to do more than 10-12 reps, and maximum 3 series. It is very important to make 1-2 day pause between workout(i need 2 days to regenerate, but sometimes i`m taking a week off) and to have calorie surplus(i`ve had a 300 kcal surplus, but you need to observe your body, everyone is different) and right amount of protein(no need for protein supplementation at beginner level imo). Don`t forget about most important things - healthy food, hydration and right amount of sleep, training is a stress for your body and it needs to be fueled and regenerated - at the beginning of my training i was still eating junk food and having too little sleep, i quickly started getting infections. Being fit is a lifestyle it`s not just about lifting weights or doing repetitions.

As a skateboarder, I’ve messed up my wrists very badly and couldn’t do push-ups anymore. This sucked because I enjoyed them very much and also calisthenics were extremely hard to start, these push up stands really helped me out.

Definitely useful if you have wrist problems. I like to turn them to a 45 degree angle to try and maintain a more natural wrist movement.

A little hack, is you already have dumbbells you can use them as Push-Up bars

Franco Columbo said 'Always use good form' when asked "How many reps and how many sets should I do?" Also, if you do them very slowly (20 seconds between up and down position) it forces you to improve your form. But you can do a push up how ever you want.

I found that push up bars significantly help. I feel it way more on chest and arms.

Sorry for my bad English. When u do push ups hands on the floor, your forearms muscle is not function. But with the push ups bar, your forearms muscle helps u to to push more on your workout. Try and and touch your forearm and try to push the floor, which one u feel your forearms is function.

I started doing push ups at work on a hard floor managed to do 300 last week but its enflamed the tendons in my thumb my thumbs killing me so ive ordered some
