My dad read this book and took a Carnegie course and did become rich and he will still give these books credit for that up to this day.

The book is very well written with many truths. Before I even understood these principles, I would day dream and journal about how I would be rich. Meanwhile I was living paychk to paychk, maxed out credit cards. Finally I started to work on changing myself and my habits and behaviors. Started to give back and think about others. In 10 years I went from close to homeless to now making $350, 000 a year. And every single opportunity that came my way was an out of the blue “fluke”. A chance meeting the right person, being at the right place at the right time. I know fully believe that the idea of thinking and growing rich is true for me. I know it is. And now my goal is not the $100k I originally worked it’s $1 million. And I know I’ll get it! I just know it!

Even if that meeting never happened, the story has created a Placebo Effect that has bought prosperity to millions. Just like people tell their children about Santa Claus. The parents know he isn't real yet it gets the children in a prosperity mindset based on being good which is developing a higher vibration.
Don't be so hung up on the details.

I keep hearing people say that Napoleon Hill's books helped people to become rich but I guarantee you that the person saying that aren't rich themselves. And the people who got rich from reading Hill's work are people who also got into the "making money by teaching people how to make money" business. I remember when I got into Napoleon Hill's work and the personal development field altogether. I found myself around wealthy people who were in real businesses (not selling courses on making money) and I would ask some of them if they'd ever read Napoleon Hill's work and none of them knew who I was talking about. The only businesspeople I met who know about Hill or any of these self-help authors are people in MLM or any other dream-selling business.

Dear audiences. cynicism is very important trait to have. but do not let this post stops you from reading his books. Do not make his “allegations and flaws” as an excuse to not learn. he may not have been a perfect figure but his teachings are potent and highly effective in any circumstances. it is very practical, rational, reasonable, hopeful and positive. one of the things i have learned from him is sincerity. he highly recommended to be successful without being deceitful to others. So personally, that trait is what makes me have an open mind and i still believe His teachings are very important to the youths and humanity.
