My son passed away 16 months ago but while he was still with us he played this for me when I would get down. He was always there for me. i miss him terribly.

You know my dad always told me when I was a baby he would lay with me, and I would cry and cry and cry, and he would sing me this song, and I stopped crying. He did that with me till I was about four, and I can kind of remember that.

My dad was a really great man, a loving and caring man, and he always told me how much he cried with joy once his baby boy came into this world, and brightened it for him. So whenever I miss my home, or my father I listen to this, and cry a bit.

I know that whatever trouble I may be in, whatever pain I feel, my dad will always stand by my side, and be there for me. Im really lucky to have such a noble man to look up to, and I hope that when the time comes for me to have my own family, I can at least stand as tall as he does, that I can be as good a father like he is.

It hurts me now to see him work so hard for our family, we don't have much, and its is a hard life we live, he gets up at 6:00 am and works until 2-3:00 am just to pay the bills and rent, and to make sure we have food. I mean, I barely see the man anymore, because he's always working, and he comes home in pain, and exhaustion, for us.

Im not a religious man but, I pray to god I can me as good and as amazing and as caring of a man he is. I love him so much, words cant describe how mich I love and appreciate this man.

And this mans name is Lawrence Salazar. I love you daddy. I miss you every day.

This was my granddad's favourite song, he was very sick all I my life and this is the song his 8 children (my mum, aunts, uncles) would play for him when he was in hospital. He sadly passed away when I was nineteen on 1st Sept 2007, he would've been 70 on the 7th. A truly generous and kind soul who made everyone of his children and 20+ grandchildren feel special and treated them fairly. Since he's been gone our family hasn't been the same, he was the glue that held us all together because we knew he loved us all the same. This song was played at his funeral and the church had no standing room left. A wonderful man, father, husband and grandfather. It hurts that you never got the chance to meet your great grandchildren, but I know you would be proud of them. Miss you so much :'(

Sometimes it's nice to take a break from today's music and listen to these old classics and embrace the nostalgic feeling they bring with it.

This is easily one of the greatest songs to ever grace my ears. It covers generations.

A pure and true classic. Beautiful.

Just picturing this playing over a group of kids riding their bikes to their hangout in the woods, near the train tracks, is a refreshing image.

Why can't we go back to a simpler time when the music was like this?

When I was 8 years old I listened to this song everyday and I'm currently 16 and this song takes me back yohhh.♥️♥️♥️

I can't stand my generation's music (not all, but majority), so I listen to music from even before my mom's generation was born. I was really born in the wrong generation. People tell me I have terrible taste in music... They just don't know what good music is.

I remember the first time I heard this song I was 11 years old in the 90's.
I'm 34 now and still bumping it.
And if I hit 70 one day, I'll be sitting out on the front porch bumping this reminiscing about the good ol' 90's.

currently in tears listening to this....I think some people are incredibly lucky to have found someone to stand by them through hell and back. Now that's real and true love. Hard to find these days.
