One of the best features of Foundry VTT is definitely the modules. These are third party addons developers have made that any user can add to their own games. I am here to share with you 5 of them I'm using that have completely changed my game for the better.

The 5 Foundry VTT Modules that are talk about in this video are:

👌 Search Anywhere

This was a great list, just started really using it to prep today and this program is amazing!! I strongly recommend backing the creator of importer on Patreon it is certainly worth the 5$ a month and his work is definitely deserving of it!

for me it’s gotta me the following (i like to cut down on book keeping and automate what i can to reduce brain ache 🤯):
midi-qol
dynamic active effects
about time+times up
token action hud (my players prefer to use argon)
quick encounters

I'm late to the party but this video is fast, relevent and really well edited. I like the pace, providing value for the viewer.

Personally, I haven't used search anywhere yet because I didn't knew how to use it. Now I feel dumb... Like, really dumb... XDXD
Aside from that, all those modules are great. For combat, I think I would add midi-qol and dae. When combined with Token Action HUD the combats fly (if you're players don't have to think for 5 minutes on their turns) and it has several levels of automatization (midi-qol) which gives you all the control you need.

Thank you for the vid, amazing list!

Wait till you combo together Magic items, MidiQOL, Combat Utility Belt, 5eHelpers and Argon xD

Great video. My group is migrating to Foundry after a big mishap with a roll20. I actually haven't even bought it yet, so I couldn't possibly be more new or inexperienced with it. But the things you suggested here really make it stand out as a user-friendly and customizable option. I've got a couple questions though, since you invited them.

1. These modules. I actually don't even know how to get them up and running because as I said, I haven't even bought this yet. I have no doubt I can figure that out easy enough, but my question is do the players need to download the modules as well to make use of them? Or will whatever modifications I make on my end just be available for players by default?

2. We're actually going to be using 5e hardcore mode. And while I have no doubt we'll be over to make use of the character sheet that's already available for Foundry if we need to, is there any kind of way to create a custom sheet or import a sheet so that we could use the specific sheet for 5eHM?

Actually even easier to roll singleton dice with dice roller. You can just click and drag the dice into chat and it rolls!

I use Simple Roller. People like it better.
