ABOUT JON FAVREAU: Described by President Obama as his ‘mind-reader’, Jon Favreau was hired as Obama's speechwriter shortly after his election to the US Senate in 2004, and subsequently appointed Director of Speechwriting following Obama's presidential election. Favreau was the chief writer of Obama's inauguration speech, resulting in TIME magazine naming him one of the '100 Most Influential People in the World'. Having left the White House in 2013, he is currently pursuing a career in screenwriting and private sector consulting.
