I have been a fan of Iron Man since the comics in the 60s. When I heard Favreau was directing and Downey was staring, back 2007, I thought oh no this probably won't work.

I could not have been more wrong. Favreau is a genius who built from the ground up, what is probably the most successful movie franchise ever. Robert Downey jr became Tony Stark in the exact way us old comic book fans imagined that character. Without Favreau, I cannot picture any scenario, where I would today be watching the favorite stories of my childhood being told in movies the way I imagined them way back then. I have truly gone from a doubter to a huge fan.

One more comment before I go. My wife has worked in restaurants for 30 years and she says Favreau's movie "Chef" is one of the best movies she has ever seen. Jon Favreau has done really some nice work and he deserves a TON of credit for the huge success Marvel has enjoyed, as well as huge credit for his other work.
