Self-Vulcanizing Tire Plug Repair Kit

Self-vulcanizing tire plug repair kit. This handy tubeless tire repair kit is designed for repairing punctures on cars, trucks and other vehicles fitted with tubeless tires. If this repair is carried out correctly, it should last for the lifetime of the tire, although I would personally only use it as a temporary repair until I have the tire checked and/or patched at a tire shop. In this video I am only demonstrating how to use the repair kit. I am not endorsing or recommending the use of the kit as a replacement for a professional or permanent tire shop repair.

DO NOT attempt any type of tire repair if any of the following conditions exist:

• tire has less than 1.6mm tread depth
• puncture is greater than 1/4 inch diameter
• structural damage to tread, carcass, inner liner, or bead (including cracking, bubbling, ply separation, etc.)
• sidewall puncture
• tire has been inflated with any flammable gas
• perforating object cannot be located
• perforating object is not straight indicating the puncture path is not straight
• little resistance is felt when inserting the repair
• evidence that the tire has been driven under-inflated
• evidence of possible structure/internal damage

I use rubber cement. Never plug without it. Never had a failure

It’s a pressure plug. Held by compression. No chemical reaction. I just did one.

I'm calling, click bait on this one. This is not vulcanizing. Vulcanizing requires heat. I've done many of these. Over the years. That lubricant sounds like a great idea. I've only used one with a slider once. After That I started using a different. Type. That one worked good for a while. I keep both in my car. Along with a can of fix a flat. The fix of flat seems to work good for leaky rims. My electric pump burned out years ago. I keep a bicycle pump in the car now. I also have one of those CO2 kits.
