My grandma loved the stories in games but had arthritis and didn't understand the controls really well so she enjoyed watching me play. This was the last game I played for her before she passed.

Death Stranding is not just a game, its an experience! One of the best experiences ive had, can never forget it.

I grew up nonverbal and struggled with my connection to others as well as the media I engaged with. I had deeper feelings about them but found myself unable to articulate them.

After 283 hours in my first playthrough of Death Stranding, I gained a deeper understanding of my relationship to media and others. I was stunned to find myself writing in a way I never had before, trying to put the feelings this game left me with into words.

I'm currently working on my first-ever video essay, linking my experience with the game to how I've interpreted other pieces of media, how media as a whole has helped me to be a more empathetic person, and how the game made me *realize* all of this. I absolutely love the game and I am fully crediting it with the creative explosion I've undergone in the last few months.

While I've been writing, I've been making music video edits of different movies/shows/games and finding even deeper feelings I didn't know I had.

Recently, I played Death Stranding again while my wife was pregnant, and I was moved every time I interacted with BB. I think other fathers know that feeling too :-)

For those who said this game is boring, clearly they did not make it through the first 5 hours and they missed out a lot on what was arguably the best piece of storytelling coming out from Kojima's creative mind. This is the first game that I played and the experience was phenomenal!

I liked collecting materials to build the roads. To see other people appreciate it felt so satisfying.

When I was homeless for 6 months I thought about all of the weight that I had to carry being like Sam making his deliveries and it made me enjoy the experience more.
Most of the work I did in order to maintain my camp had to do with carrying lots of weight around in my backpack.
Death stranding definitely helped me appreciate that experience more.

When talking to fellow gamers and even non gamers, I can not even begin to explain just how good this game and story really is. It's one of the most original, well thought out and enjoyable games I've ever played. Honestly it's more than just a game; it's an experience and it's art. It's a shame that some people will never give it a chance because they want something that is consistently fast paced with little to no story, because this is a form of art that stays with you.

I played this game the same time I became a father. Playing this game with your kid strapped to your chest is a wild experience. I don't think I've ever cried that much during a video game. Only other time was Dom in gears 3 and one of Silent Hill 2's endings.
