Every time I talk to my Indian friend I always said this one thing " China doesn't preach like the west and the US thinking they are sitting on a higher moral ground" China is only interested in economics, the propaganda was done with this debt trap diplomacy narrative, the truth is IMF and the world bank does the same thing to implement their ideology and their idea of human right regardless of the traditional values of the country. CHINA does not do that. US doesn't like peace otherwise they wouldn't have funded years of unjustified invasion of multiple countries, US just like to dictate and the rest of the western EU piggy back with it, thinking their culture is some what civillized.

Peace-making is the ultimate “weapon” to end all kinds of conflict. Can not argue with this.

Any initiative from China is interpreted as offensive move. This is why I'm tired of Indian media, you'll never get intelligent and objective analysis.

Whoever brings peace should be thanked. This is better than just talks.

China has been our neighbour for over 3000 years, and we like good neighbours, have seldom ( Except in 1962) fought with each other. Moreover, today China is doing capitalism better than India. Also, the difference between an authoritarian China and a democratic India is reducing. China has not fired a bullet across its borders for 40 Years, while America does so weekly. China is our biggest trading partner. We should trust China more than trust America.
The only problem is many upper-caste Hindus settled in America want us to side with America for their self-interest,

It is stupid to label peacemakers as offensive.

People are doing good things and you discourage them. You are the one who is more offensive.

SG seriously downplayed the significance of both China's diplomacy in this case, and the scale of fraught relationship between Saudi and Iran. Saudi and Iran are "in proxy war" which is being played out in Yaman mainly, and in Syria secondarily. US's version of solution was supporting Saudi would keep Iran suppress it's nuclear ambitions, and would not allow Yaman to become a breeding ground for ISIS style extremists forces that could attack the west like Al-Qaeda did. However, Saudi has been unsuccessful in beating Iran supported- Houthis for 7 years In contrast, China is able to crack a diplomatic relation between the most bitter enemies in the region which could potentially end these proxy wars mainly in Yaman, followed by Syria. If China is able to end these wars through diplomacy, it would be a serious blow to US's diplomacy that used weapon export as the tool to bring peace (Saudi is the biggest buyer US military equipment for a decade now).

As per the theological differences, new regimes in both Iran and Saudi are not as extreme as they were in the past. The successor Khumaini in Iran has relatively more modern outlook towards the society, MBS has recently granted freedoms to the women. Having said that, it cannot be said that there are no theological differences. While these differences are becoming milder, the context of the fraught relationship between MBS and US should be considered as a reason for Saudi becoming cozier with Iran, and China.

Democracy sometimes is not conducive for foreign policy. When leaders need to fight election at home, their foreign policy is victim of their partisan bickering. Whereas Chinese leaders do not have to worry about election at home. This doesn't mean autocracy is better. But it can be advantageous.

Humble request to the entire Indian media ecosystem to invest more on pictures. Most of the pictures shown are 2 or 3 years old. Highly improves the quality of the content
