Russia and China have reacted after Iran launched an unprecedented attack on Israel on April 13. The Russian foreign ministry in a statement called on both the parties to exercise restraint. It added, "We expect that the problems in the Middle East will be solved by countries through political and diplomatic means." Meanwhile, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said that Beijing is "deeply concerned" about escalating tensions in the Middle East after Iran launched drones and missiles in a retaliatory strike against Israel.
