But he has a boat with an infinite ammo cannon on it that can no scope quacken in minutes. also he can find treasure easily, and theres probably something about him in the lore that im missing but right now i am physically blank in every regard

tl;dr Play Woodlegs in Shipwrecked once you've gotten good at surviving in Shipwrecked (And if you were able to unlock him (Legitimately) then you probably already are.).
In Hamlet, there's no point in doing so since naval travel isn't as prominent, but you can since being in the Slanty Shanty recovers more sanity than Woodleg's sanity penalty can drain.
In Reign of Giants? Don't bother.
