In terms of performance, usability, and features, Namecheap does well but it has its limitations. My recommendation, use Namecheap only for small or personal projects and it will work like a charm. If you want to build a portfolio website or something simple you shouldn’t have any complaints using Namecheap.

I have been with namecheap for three years. I build a site and it worked great for a while. I made no changes to my site for a year and here recently my site will load in 1.5 seconds, the next moment it will take 2 minutes then it will be down. Then it will start working again and then slow loading again. Namecheaps customer service is the worst. The keep saying that there was ddos attack or that the server here cash cleared or something you change did it. Excuses instead of trying to solve the problem.

Right at the moment I love namecheap because most of their support staff are in Ukraine and I feel like I'm doing something to support them. I've chatted with them a few times now and their support has been really good. I ended up purchasing ssl encryption I did not need and could not figure out and they just fixed everything up for me and refunded what I'd bought and didn't need to have.

This is a copy of an email I sent to the Namecheap customer service and got no solution
Read:
Failure of fixing my login to my account using the reason of security became very clear to me that you chose to escalate that matter. That issue does look and sound like harassment, or why you gave me fake URL?
You left me with no remedy except to ask my lawyer for advice. You just cannot discriminate against me, and I keep quiet. Sure, you will lose that case and will be responsible for all damage included and not limited to my lawyer’s fee.
