I'm not usually one for over sharing but I've just finished my first week of chemotherapy and I won't lie I'm scared of how it's affecting me, but your enthusiasm for the topic helped put my mind at ease. So thank you, you have no idea how much I needed this today

Also: Nowadays we rarely use interferon to treat chronic hep B... Thankfully, we use better tolerated drugs like tenofovir and entecavir

No Anti-HBC, so no previous infection, right?

You didn't display the HBc Ag evolution on the graph. And i think it's because it's not measured in the blood, but only on liver samples.

these videos are so good, I just hope you can keep them free! I notice things disappear from the youtube channel, presumably to go behind the paywall. It would be a huge shame if Osmosis becomes a tool for wealthy students.

Actually.... Not quite true: hep E CAN give chronic infection, depending on the genotype

Correct me if i'm wrong but HAV actually has a carier state and it's pretty important. Fecal HAV peaks weeks before jaundice and other symptoms appear. That's why it can be spread way before patient's knowledge of infection.

Thanks so much for the informative video. According to the WHO, HDV-HBV co-infection is considered the most severe form of chronic viral hepatitis due to more rapid progression towards hepatocellular carcinoma and liver-related death, but in your video, you said that the HDV-HBV superinfection is the most severe form of chronic viral hepatitis. Is this a mistake? Which is correct?
