yes. Actually the vid doesn't show it, but I think what he was going to say, is that, in Python, the locals are stored in a dictionary of key/value pairs. Setting x to 0 just changes it's value to zero. If you want to remove a local variable totally, you can pop it:

locals().pop('x')
