Manila needs its own Cargo train connecting the port, so trucks in roads would Be reduced. It will help the traffic, also prevent some roads damage.

ICTSI is actually a global company but based in the Philippines. Recently they announced how their using data analytics with a large tech company to optimize the port and trucks going into the port. If any business is going to expand they really need this critical information.

Case of putting all your eggs in one basket. Subic Bay is available. So to is Batangas Port. Need to further develop Lingayen Port. Infanta is available though there is a mountain range to traverse.

Mega Manila has its Port of Manila, Subc bay port, Bataan Port, Aurora Port, Batangas Port, Lucena port and soon in Mauban Quezon Port, Infanta port, and Dingalan port in Aurora.. Mega Manila Greater Capital Region is huge will need more than one port.

Like Wildboy posted, they need some kind of dedicated freight rail system to get the containers in and out of the port. Something like the Alameda corridor they use for the ports of L.A. and Long Beach.

Personally I didn't like the way Americans built it. They Blocked intramuros which is originally facing the sea. They left spaces for illegal settlers to come in (Baseco)..etc ..

Port in philippines should upgrade manila is IMPORT TERMINAL ONLY GOV SHOULD INVEST IN MINDANAO PORTS WHERE MOST EXPORT ARE BEEN MANILA TRADING EXPORT IMPORT RATIO IS 50 EXPORT AGAINST 3000 IMPORT CONTAINERS LMAO
