This is not just in League. Players have optimized the fun out of so many games, so when a new fun game modes comes in, most players dont think 'what would be a funny build?' But rather 'whats a build that lets me get the win with the least ammount of effort?'

For me, ARAM is the highest amount of fun I can have in any League mode. The unbalanced crazyness of URF/Arena is fun to me for a short time, but then I start longing for some "normality" again, but without the massive toxicity that Summoner's Rift brings. Not being able to be out of position in a wrong lane in ARAM helps alot in that regard too. Also loved Swarm and the Thresh hook minigame

I played a game with an AFK teammate, all the other teams agreed to 1v1 me, and half of them let me win if I won the 1v1, we chatted in the chat the whole time and I got like 8 goodbyes when I died, people are loving this game and having fun

"stats riot gave us" enjoyers when a riot balance team employee says "if you think crits aren't random you're wrong" followed by "essentially crits aren't random and you have a higher chance of critting after not critting for a while"

There's two kinds of arena games. The ones where it's 80% Bravery and everybody is having a good time or it's the one where 80% of the lobby is pre-made comps of the best champions. I have played Bravery every game and am now at the max rank of Fame and I really wish it was actually noticeable. Overall the game mode is still very entertaining and aside from some outliers it is still far more enjoyable than Summoner's Rift or ARAM.

I will say that some of the Guests of Honour did kind of wear out on me though, Swain is way too win-more oriented due to how the mechanics usually play out, Elise just completely ruins games, Vladimir introduces either too much variance or not enough and Darius is just the ultimate fun killer. That said, Kled is by far the best Guest of Honour and my opinion shall not be swayed, I hold my record of 9 Medals of Noxian Freedom with pride but come on Riot get his full title right!

A major point I should make is that I think people seriously need to step back and remember that even getting into the top 4 teams is considered a win. It's like going into TFT and expecting every game is a first place, it's just not a healthy mindset to go into a party game with.
