What is the Best Online Skate Shop? (Zumiez, Tactics, CCS, Skate Warehouse Review)

There are tons of online skateshops and if you are a beginner skateboarder it may be hard to find which one is the best to buy from. It is important to find a skate shop that is trustworthy and sells quality boards, if you buy a cheap board it is only going to set you up for failure.

If you google, “Skateshops”, you get about 13 million results, I narrowed it down to five skate shops that can help you get started if you are looking for a brand new skateboard.

Whether you’ve been skating for 5 minutes or 5 years, I hope the content in this video helps you determine where to make future skateboard purchases.

A COUPLE PROGRAM NOTES:
1. The first draft of this script I reviewed 8 different skate shops, however, I realized that if I did I would either have to A.) make 45 minute video B.) Shorten my review of each skate shop and risk not giving enough detail. C.) Cut out a few of less popular skate shops and give more detail to the few I picked. As you could probably guess, I went with option “C”. I would love to do a part 2 in the future and investigate some smaller skate shops
2. This video is targeted for new skaters, which is why I compared a lot of “complete skateboards” in this video. Again, to make the video an acceptable length, I cut out the parts where I reviewed individual skate parts sold from these skate shops.

I remember when ccs sent out yearly catalog with everything in them. My best friend and I would look though them all the time and make a wish list by circling everything from boards Wheels bearings clothing shoes then fill out the order form and calculate the totals and we'd have like a $3000 total each lol I miss them days.

I actually went to Skate Warehouse in person. It was a cool little place. The shop was small but they said anything on their website they have in the back and I got a pretty dope deck at a good price.

I always try to support local but it’s easier to find exactly what I want online, especially for old school setups, and online is usually cheaper and tax free

Tactics has good customer support. My buddy recently ordered a complete with the new Bronson ceramic bearings which include a cleaning kit and extra shields. He had it assembled by them and for whatever reason they did not include the cleaning kit and shields. He contacted them about it and they promptly refunded him $40 which more than makes up for it

I’m just giving you shit, I think this is great that you went through the effort to review these. I’ve been skating for 20+ years, and my first set up came from CCS. I didn’t know what I was looking for or what I needed. And I was way too nervous to walk into a local shop and ask all these questions out of fear of feeling like an “idiot”. I didn’t understand then what I know now about the skate community. That’s it’s extremely welcoming and I’m sure one of my local shops would have loved to answer all my questions then and help point me in the right direction.

All that to say, i would have loved something like this when I started. I know there’s kids (or adults!) out there that are totally new to this, or not sure where to look. Good on you brother! Keep up the good work! 🙏🙌

I paid $85 for a Complete Enjoi White Panda online a month ago. TGM Skateboards is the name of the shop out of Mount Clemens Michigan. They have a good selection and Very Reasonable prices.

I mostly use Titus, the shop has a relatively good selection of decks, axles and wheels, the price is up to €34 for decks, free delivery. And for grip tape I use Mob Grip.
