Switching to the Z Flip 5 After A Lifetime of iPhone

one thing i notice when switching to flip is that if i dont need to use my phone, i dont use it. cause im conscious about opening the hinge too often, and i notice my unnecessary use of phone has significantly dropped. good for those people who want to reduce screentime

Iphone 14 pro max and Z Flip 5 are two completly different phones. I gave up my Iphone 14 for an Z Flip 5 and I'm happy. Yes, there is a difference between the performances of the two, but the Z Flip 5 is much, much, much more fun. There are days when I hardly even open the phone because the secondary screen is more than enough. For me it works perfectly. I bought a phone and received two. A small one for the usual things and the other one for when I want something bigger.

I love how almost every downside I've heard from both this video and some others I've watched don't effect me:
Battery isn't the best - Due to school, I'm off of my phone enough to where it lasts long enough for a potential second day
Sunglass create a rainbow effect - I don't wear sunglasses
Volume buttons too high up when opened - I don't care
Can't take good Snapchat selfies - I don't use Snapchat
Etc. - Etc.

I have my Flip5 1 year and I'm loving it, no doubt, that it requires special care, but nothing special on the street, I just use the outside screen I'm really enjoying the experience, everyone who comes to use Flip 5 is curious and asks questions.

I’ve been using the flip 5 for 1 month now, and it’s a surprisingly awesome phone. I love it. Battery is eh but, I expect improvements with future generations.

Switched after being w/ Apple and the iPhone since 2007. Apple made the dumb decision of removing the sim tray which feels very anti competitive. That said, The flip is incredible. Feels amazing In the hand and opening and closing is not a problem whatsoever. in fact, it is a large part of the appeal. The phone is light because the weight is distributed over a larger size but does not feel like brick when folded. It is a truly compelling device. If Samsung is smart, they will adopt some of Apple's must have features like a built-in version of Airdrop...

I only want the small display here with those rear cameras for bettery quality selfie/video calls. Just imagine if it have a big battery that would last for days. That's going to be insanely good.

I've had a z flip 3 for years. My favorite feature is just portability. Not needing to walk around with a brick in my pocket is so helpful. I can use the pocket I put my phone in for other things as well, since its half the length of other phones. I can put the phone in a shirt breast pocket and it hides it perfectly as well, even with the case I put on it.

I'm on my 2nd year of my foldable experimentation. Also on my 2nd flip (yeah I have a low EQ and cound't resist upgrading to a flip5 from a flip4). I absolutely love my flip.

Im in Canada. I called Bell just to check if data plans changed. By the time i was done the call.. I ended up with my bill being $100 less.. more data.. and a Z Flip 5! Im switching from a Z Fold 3! Crazy difference but i think Im going to like it a lot more. Arrives in a few days! 🤓📱

Reviewers keep missing or underplaying a very useful feature which is that it doesn't need a stand to stay upright when taking a video. Perfect for just leaving the phone on the table without support to record moments of my child playing etc, or even to do a video conference using the stronger backside cameras if desired.

I don't do anything fancy on my phone. The most used feature I use is smart view. I think the flip is enough for me i just wish the price would go down considering its got too many drawbacks for the average user.

I still have my flip 4. A big reason going for a flip was due to motorcycling. If I wanted to have my phone with me I would have to use a tank bag. Kind of crazy. Now this small package when closed will fit into any pocket. I keep finding new things that this is so handy.

I traded in a flip 4 in perfect condition. Was given $900 off a flip 5 with trade-in. So I ended up paying only $169 which was the balance plus tax. So the small shortcomings, I can deal with or just overlook.

I have an iPhone 12pro max, and I’m seriously considering to switch to the z flip 5. Though I have all sorts of apple products like AirPods, MacBooks, iPad etc, and my phone is integrated with all of my tech. :(
