The infamous headbutt from mcgregor to gyllenhall was wild. I baffled as to how they shot and choreographed that without gyllenhall getting hurt. In the behind the scenes footage you can see how they had mcgregor headbutt a pad then they changed it in the editing room to make it look like he literally headbutted gyllenhall. Neat trick.

Fortunately Prime Video in Australia has both movies & I just recently watched them both. The new one is a very loose remake of the original & comes across more like a poor Jack Reacher knock off. Connor is great & the sole reason that you should watch it, but some of the camera work during the fights will leave you frustrated.

The remake was absolute dogshit. Jake didn't even act. McGregor was a cartoon. The story missed out all of what made the original good. It was a pile of tripe.

New one is MEH. Just an average movie. Not a piece of cinematic perfection that people will be talking about and attempting to emulate 35 years later like the original is.
