That’s true. I had a bunch of broken teeth from fighting and I never had them pulled. I went to the dentist a few years after being done competing to get all my teeth done and the dentist said it was good I never got the broken teeth pulled like my previous dentist wanted to do. He said keeping the teeth in there, even though they didn’t help me eat, made my jaw a lot more robust and it was now a lot easier to put in dental implants. I thought that was interesting because I had assumed keeping the teeth was going to somehow rot my jaw or something but alas it is the opposite. I still have to get a lot of teeth pulled and work done, over $10k worth to be accurate but now I know to always keep your teeth in your mouth even if they look bad because you can keep your jaw strong until you need to get them pulled in the future.
