I started djing in like 1997. Got one of the first sldz1200 cd players technics made have cdj2k’s a a few controllers. I’ve done large crowds like 9k for state event to starting clubs with like 50 ppl building them to like 1k plus three nights a week. Your channel has me really going in different directions now. Much respect buddy. I bought you scratch course because I never did much scratching. Bout to see where this takes me. I’ll probably Dj till I die. lol.

I swear you always find the coolest tricks. A lot of DJs are just going through the motions but not you. You're always coming up with something new! ✌️

This is a great tutorial with visual queues. It gives more depth so people can follow along instead of a reader guessing what is being implied. Really great work here

I love your content. Started DJ’ing back in ‘83 and was very slow to move off vinyl. Your channel has helped me embrace the digital side a lot more easily. Thanks!

So glad you did a vid explaining it and going through it slowly than doing a straight mix trying to keep up with the text on the screen 😂

I always refer back to your tuts when I need to remember the fundamentals. I did a gig with these tips alone and it went great. Most important was the cue point setup - which you went in greater detail on an older video without 3rd party software. Second most handy tool is the 3/4 loop for sure.

Nice video. As a starting DJ I have to say the best way to start DJing is probably just play around and try to mix so ga to begin with. Almost every point you made are things I found out by just messing around. For me, it makes it much harder when I approach it like a study and the problems and answers are told. But that's my advice to other starting DJ's. Useful content nonetheless!

DJ Carlo!
I just started my own business DJ’ing events and weddings after 15 years doing it underneath an ad agency/event promoter. The difference in revenue is insane. But also, there is so. Much. Work. To do in regards to my brand. I went from avoiding social media, to scheduled content creation.

Any chance you would consider making a video on things to avoid when promoting yourself?

Stem mixing looks and sounds insane. Dont think ive seen it before now but it really seems like a game changer for DJing.

Thank you so much. 👍

That maths lesson about dividing by .75 to get the faster tempo has blown my little mind lol

And then just multiply by .75 to find out the correct slower speed. Absolutely brilliant. Can't wait to try it.

Just need to add a calculator to my DJ bag now. As I've never been good at maths lol

I'm Old Skool. No visual help, just two sticks and know your music, which comes from playing for many years with vinyl and reliable Technics SL 1200's. However, I really like your tutorials. A good tip for beginners, is turn off Serato etc and cover the BPM read-outs and just feel the music.
