I find that while Google TV (which uses Android) has more features than TizenOS, it's also less stable than TizenOS and Android is more prone to freezing/crashing and generally more buggy and a much less put-together OS than TizenOS.

Great analysis. Thanks for the video. But for someone who's still confused, as a recent Samsung TV owner, Tizen sucks. Stay away from it. Samsung's picture quality for a few models might be brilliant (I have a Neo QLED and I love the PQ) but after using it for two weeks, I can easily say that user interface is the most important thing in a TV and I absolutely hate the limited app support and barebone framework that Tizen is. Better get an android stick for Samsung TVs. My parents are gonna use this TV and they only need built in apps and Live TV, so a TV with good PQ but limited functionality works for them. Not to mention I got it at a great discount. But Tizen is not for me! And no Dolby Vision support sucks.

Google TV is superior - updated regularly, a lot of your favourite apps too. Samsung's Tizen is the worst TV operating system!! Plagued with security & privacy vulnerabilities which heaps of customers have complained about, and it rarely gets updates.

Darko, thank you for that great video - liked it. I have one question: if you switch back and forth between YouTube app and a HDMI input (eg PS5) multiple times, does YouTube always directly continues right where you stopped before when you were switching to HDMI or are you always brought back to the YouTube start menu? I am asking for both, Google TV and Tizen. I am asking that because when I am stuck in a game and need help from a YouTube Video, I jump back and forth and always want to continue the video right where I stopped it before. My old LG does that and I like it very much. I am right now undecided between the TCL and Samsung QLED and your video already helped me a lot - Thank you again 😊

"Continue watching" feature of Google TV from all apps you are watching on your TV is the reason I choose Google TV in Sony oled from other TVs.

Pozdrav, jeste li primijetili neki frame rate drop kod HBOmax na TVu s integriranim Google TVom (može i konkretno na primjeru TCL C835, C735 ili C635)? Imam problem s tim na Chromecastu s Google TVom. Na Tizenovoj HBO aplikaciji radi sve bez problema, ali kad na istom TVu gledam HBO preko Chromecasta, onda primjecujem frame rate drop. Stoga me zanima dal je to samo problem kod Chromecasta ili i kod svih TVa s integriranim Google TVom. Hvala unaprijed na odgovoru i pomoci :) Odlican video btw. 😁

I want buy new Samsung with Tizen 6.5 and I don't know, is DLNA work with my WD MyCloud storage via LAN or WiFi :)

I just bought a Samsung q60b and so far I'm liking it, looks nice sounds ok and that's about it.

However, the new remote while it's nice indeed it misses an input signal button and I absolutely hate that I have to go all the way to the Game Hub to select the console instead of just even having an option in the quick menu (123 and colors button) and I also remember that the previous Tizen had a simpler menu at the bottom with an input tab at the left.

Is there a comparable Android TV in terms of quality for 500€?

I think samsung needs to get rid of tizen and integrate google tv os in its tv with the samsung/One Ui skin like its phone. Apple tv has a ui similar to iphone.
