Samsung Q60D QLED Review: Worth It As A Value TV?

preview_player
Показать описание

The Samsung Q60D QLED is the lowest-end model in Samsung's QLED lineup. It replaces the Samsung Q60C QLED and sits below the Samsung Q70D QLED. Like its predecessor, it's a 60Hz TV and doesn't have modern features like HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, VRR support, or local dimming.

Edit; rtings of course mentioned the same thing lol.
$900 (currently 10% off on Amazon) for a 60hz tv with poor viewing angles and bad image processing seems like a hard sell with Hisense and tcl around (who also have similar issues but with better features like 120/144hz and mini led.) paper specs aren’t everything, just ask Sony but… this seems like a hard sell unless one insists on samsung

Absolutely laughable for this price. The 2018 NU8000 had 800+ nits and decent colors at the same price. It's all downhill ever since.

I recently purchased last year's 43Q60C model, and I am very impressed with it. Despite not getting great reviews such as it's successor the Q60D, it is still a very fine option. I got mine for a bargain on sale. :)

People keep saying "Get a TV from TCL or HiSense, it's the better buy", but none of those companies MAKE small TVs with any support for 4K inputs or HDR10. Lots of other 32 inch TVs use 720p panels and most of the rest use 1080p panels. That wouldn't be a huge deal if they could at least support 4K inputs and could handle tonemapping of HDR input in a semi-intellegent way, but they cant.

I specifically selected this one (43") BECAUSE it has great viewing angles. It looks terrific to me from angles, unlike a TCL I recently purchased and returned because it had terrible angles viewing. I actually preferred the remote on the TCl, one of the nicest I've ever used. The Samsung remote is too small for me and its minimal design is confusing figuring out how functions. Your review is heavy on tech tests, not how it actually looks to someone viewing it. I'm very pleased with this selection (minus the remote!)

It's nearly $1000 and this is "entry level" and "lowest end". Absurd. I bought a 57 inch Samsung TV a couple years ago for $380, THAT's what I consider "low end" and "entry level".

As someone whose been selling TVs for years the Q60 Line from samsung is my LEAST favorite tv in it's price range. The only people who buy it are the people who want the brand name samsung on their tv more than a good picture. Most average consumers issue with going the vastly superior TCL/Hisense route is they don't trust the Longevity of brands they arent familiar with over samsung, but trust me these q60s have just as much if not more longevity issues.

Are you guys going to do a review on the Qn90D?

Ok lets address the elphant in the room. the Q60 series hardware hasn't been updated in 3 years. The Q60D is still using the same exact hardware that the Q60A used back in 2021. So samsung is charging a premium for an entry level QLED that uses 3 year old hardware. It doesn't make sense. Im actually wondering if samsung will still use the same hardware on the Q60E models when they come out next year, or will samsung finally update it. The problem i see with samsung is they nickle and dime you for features that should be standard for the prices that they charge for an entry level QLED.

I paid 460€ for this TV with a discount offered by the seller.
The Hisense you mentioned at the endint is much expensive, like 750€.
So.. i think is not the best but for 480€ its ok.
What do you think guys?

I know this is an entry level TV, but the lack 120hz and others is shocking at this price in 2024.

Buy cheap buy twice applies to TV's as much as most tech based products.
These entry level models are made down to a price by using the cheapest screens
and components available.
I know as they keep me in a job repairing them, use them at full brightness and the baclights will
failed followed by the underated components used to drive them.
Hisense models use underated connectors and cables that can't handle the current, so they burn out.
Take Abby's advice and save up for a more expensive one or you will soon be buying another.

Hello, can you please let me know if Samsung QE1D is better or Samsung Q60D?

Samsung TVs used to be the crème de la crème. But they started getting more competition from other manufacturers and now they try to pump out a tv every 6 months, saying its an upgraded model. But they are actually getting worse and more higher priced. They are still using 60hz panels. Hell, 8K is out already. But they are going to milk the 60hz sector as long as they can. Props to Rtings for their reviews and honest opinions on these TVs. I don't buy any new TV without checking out Rtings reviews first. I'll pass on this one though. I have the Q60C and this one is "not" an upgrade. 💯

Samsung televisions keep getting worse every year. I remember these mid-range televisions having better build quality and picture quality back in 2017 and 2018.

Was already considering it for the 43inch for PC monitor (bc black uniformity+blooming is great and view angle doesnt bother me in this case), but the second half of the video just destroyed all hopes for this one.
