Quick video on the mount and wedge drive for the axe handles I make. This handle is hickory and the wedge is limba. The liquid used is boiled linseed oil. When I was like 14-16 I was doing exactly the same shape handles out of the old redwood. Those was the most ergonomic and durable handles ever. I like that bold end cap, because it prevents the axe to slip out of the hands.

Wet that wedge with antifreeze.
It will swell the wood and wont really dry out.

I've always just put the top of the axe head into a container of Boiled Linseed Oil. That end grain soaks up a looot of oil.

Со временем черенок ссыхается а времени каждый раз его увлажнять не всегда имеется, и он начинает выскакивать. Но есть надёжный способ это устранить, приваривается к боковой части топора/молотка, петля с отверстием и приворачивается саморезом к черенку, можно с двух сторон это проделать, проверено и испытано, работает идеально.

Ку на конец, нашёлся нормальный человек который после забивки клина не спивает дерево за подлецо с железом. Там обязательно надо оставить сантиметр. Этот сантиметр после пропитки расширился и не даст топору слитеть
