How To Add Additional Accounts to Your Quest 2 & Share Apps between Accounts!!!

If you're tired of your kids or your siblings messing with your saved games, your high scores, your friends list or whatever on your Quest 2 then it's probably time to set them up with their own account. Adding additional (secondary) accounts to the Quest 2 is a simple thing to do and in this video I'll show you how it's done. Now you may be asking what about our games? Are we going to have to buy all our games again for a 2nd account? The answer to that question is most likely, No. The Quest 2 has a feature built into it called App Sharing which I'll also show you how to turn on or enable which will allow you to share apps purchased on your Administrator account with all the other accounts on your Quest 2. There are some limitations to app sharing though you should know about and I go over them in this video so you'll know what you're getting into before you commit. Thanks for watching. :)

Dude, you're a life saver! I bought my mom a Quest 2 for her bday last year and it was such a pain walking her through how to set up a Facebook account that she kind of gave up before finalizing everything to where she cpuld start purchasing games and hasn't touched it since trying out a few demos on her bday 🤦‍♂️

I just got done adding my account to her headset, installing all my games, as well as buying some new ones that she should like. So hopefully now she doesn't have any more excuses to just let it sit there and collect dust lol.

Also Meta/Facebook/Quest/whoever needs to add a game gifting function like Steam has for users to get their less tech-savvy/ less fortunate family members and friends to try out new stuff. I can't even tell you how much money I gave Valve to hook my nephew up with dope new Steam and Steam VR games lol.

It’s awesome that they did this but there something that is so freaking annoying that there no share apps on the Secondary accounts and none of us knew that if you bought on the secondary you can’t share any apps that sucks cause my brother’s account that has a $40 game so I have to buy it again on the Admin account so I can play. :(

Thank you for the video. I found it while looking for some info about the last part you mention, I have 2 accounts an my Q2, and at first when I downloaded a game on the main account the second account showed "Install" but didn't download it again, just a few seconds and it was ready... But now, it re-downloads the game, Pop1 for example can't be installed on the second account because there is no space to downloading it again. Is it a bug or are there some options I need to turn on or off? Some apps have to be downloaded again perhaps? Anyway, thank you and keep up the good work.
