I work for UPS and this morning the only woman that works as a driver at our center was sent a silver coin from corporate to congratulate her on passing the test period that literally every guy has had to pass before her... The first 5 seconds are astounding. When the man first looks up and sees the pilot, he doesn't think anything of it. He doesn't see a black lady, just a pilot, one that he expects to be rather qualified regardless of race. He only begins to worry when he reads the DEI headline. We don't care about race, only when people place it ahead of merit!
