INSTITUTIONAL RACISM DOESN'T EXIST IN THE UK?! (Discussing the Sewell Report) | mango masala

In the wake of George Floyd’s killing by US Police, the British commission on race and ethnic disparities was established. They recently published the Sewell Report, which detailed their findings on racism in the UK.
The report concluded that whilst the UK is not yet a “post-racial country”, its “success” in removing race-based disparity in education and the economy “should be regarded as a model” for other countries. It also claimed that the British system is no longer “rigged against ethnic minorities” and that the UK is therefore not institutionally racist.
With this in mind, GVRNZ and Simran consider some stats on institutional racism within the UK, including education, health & COVID, wealth and economy, and police and the Criminal Justice System.
