E-News: Sprinkler to Storage Clearance

At our July 11th workshop, we reviewed the owner responsibilities as it relates to inspection, testing and maintenance of water based fire protection systems. In 2011, a 400,000 square foot warehouse, fully sprinklered, burnt to the ground. One of the contributing factors to this fire loss was believed to be inadequate clearance between the sprinkler deflector and top of storage.
