My dad was in the USARMY 28TH ID and Liberated Paris, July23, 1944 were the first American division to parade ( Famous street with the Arc de Triumph... - Champs-Elysees) through the liberation of Paris from the Nazi’s. He was the last man drafted from Dodge City Kansas Ford County, cowboy rancher machinist rifleman was in Bastogne Battle of the Bulge, The Army 28th Infantry Division was the first American fighting force to fight the Nazis on German soil. He survived Bastogne Hürtgen ending at the Elbe river, northern Germany. Campaigns
