Watched a program with my husband about this. From what I understand it was sold to idiots who then did some lease deal back to the franchisees which meant they had to start paying lease payments for the properties that they had not been paying before. This caused the restaurants to be less and less profitable. Covid didn't help. They tried to say it was the endless shrimp, but who they think they foolin'? Aint nobody ate enough shrimp to bankrupt 1 Red Lobster let alone all of 'em! There is a little more to the story but I went to the kitchen and started to work out the best copy cat recipe for them cheddar biscuits cause when they are truly out of business I still wanna eat good 🤣

Red Lobster stopped "giving a damn"!!! The quality of the food and service went to crap!!! They turned into a glorified McDonald's! We stopped eating there long ago, and it seemed that no matter what location you went to, it was the same terrible food and service!
