BMW N55 MHD Tuning review F-series M135i Stage 2+ 430HP

Video review of the MHD tuning software for the N55 engine. Video is shot in an F-series M135i running the stage 2+ map, which should give the car 430HP and 630NM.

I made 390hp 460 ft lbs with stage 2+. Lots of timing pull after 5000RPM which I think is due to my fuel being 97 octane. 430 is probably achievable with their 102 RON map with 102RON fuel, as they say "Up to" 430hp.

Nice !! My M135i has 420bhp with a Stage 2 map lsd, remus, forge intercooler and pipes etc, what decat/ down pipe are you using and do you get any management lights on from the secondary lambda. 👍

I've got a bone stock 2016 m135i, with mhd stage 2 95RON. It's most likely making 380hp or so and pulls very hard until about 6700rpm, especially after the latest maps.

I agree with everything in this video, and don't worry too much about IAT, I live in Australia, even when my IATs are in the low to mid 50C range, there is hardly any timing pull and the car runs more boost to compensate for higher IAT.

Hi, thanks for the awesome video. I was pretty surprised though about your experience with JB4. I drive a 435i with a downpipe, FMIC, intake and catback exhaust and didn't have any of these issues. however, I'm looking for an upgrade just becoz of one thing you have mentioned which is power linearity. whenever you are accelerating hard and the car reaches 140 km/hr+ the car begins to feel cruising rather than accelerating. It just dies.
So do u mind sharing any dyno of your car after the MHD tuning. Also, do you have any numbers comparing MHD tuning vs JB4 ( for example a quarter mile or 0-100 ) ? Thanks in advance.

After this I'm also switching back to MHD. Had it previously on my E92 335i and now on my M135i EWG I went with Bootmod3 stage 2 98RON and kinda regret it. Even tho it's not slow, my (experienced) butt dyno tells me I'm only around 400bhp and I have light throttle hesitation and huge fuel consumption. Also tuning and monitoring with my phone and OBD cable which is connected easy "on the fly" is easier vs a laptop with BM3. I'm going for MHD stage 2+ 102RON now, I have a pump that sells 102RON in Reusel. Should be around 430bhp and MHD also makes more torque down low :D

Very good video mate, very useful and insightful thanks for it. I have one question, does the infotainment screen sport dials (where you see the maximum torque and hp) read the actual hp you have and adapt it, or it tops at the stock hp? Thanks.

Also from Belgium (Antwerp) here, but I will do it in English. I see you sold the car but how long did you drive with the car while it was tuned in stage 2+? And what can go wrong with this. Can you brick your ECU of the car? Where did you buy this app, from the play store? And do you trust a bluetooth ODB2 reader or did you do it with a cable from obd2 to usb c or something?

Getting MHD next week going to remove cats and upgrade pipe from turbo as that pops (some guys say) not going to do intercooler on stage 1.. however its Hot is South Africa so will most prob do it going stage 2. So true.... cold cant sneak away anymore.... so loud... tell me it looked like warning signals on the phone.. does the app tell you when there is issues.. do you just clear faults or what?
