1) Note that *this video is for YOU* to send to a Trump voter (or to use as inspiration for a conversation with them), not for the Trump voters directly. I know Trump voters might watch this on their own - that’s why you would need to send it! (Along with context relevant to that person, and no single message works for everyone, of course - that’s why I threw in a few angles here) Better for this to come from a loved one than just from a rando on the internet.

2) Yes, if someone is deep in the MAGA cult (not all Trump voters are), then they are beyond reasoning with and would need a different approach. I like *the book “The Cult of Trump”* by Steven Hassan for tips on reaching people in the cult, I’ll be discussing this in an upcoming video. The main thing to do is just to build rapport and trust, and eventually to ask genuine questions about why they hold their beliefs. You can't change someone else's mind, but you can lovingly nudge them towards questioning things for themselves.

You nail it: It's not left/right - it's top/bottom. The top 10% control everything and see the bottom 90% as "resources" to consume. They control your income and your jobs... and the government. And we keep electing them into power. I've been yelling this for decades and it's reassuring to hear others say it (and really well said, BTW - genuinely concise, accurate and insightful - thank you!)

I remember hearing about a CEO who made everyones wages equal to his own, and many other CEOs said his company would fail that way but it only made his workers far happier, harder working, and more loyal. Sure his own paycheck dropped heavily but his company is a success and he can live happily.

Yep! Choices have consequences. 2 of our 3 (step) adult children found that out very fast. We have always been politically active. We did everything we could to have conversations with them and educate them before the election. We made it VERY clear that morals and values matter and we will die fighting on the right side of history. They are literally crying and venting now. Too bad. We will not take the bait. My 72 yo, Navy vet, retired Teamster husband and I, who marched for human rights, have completely cut them off.
