get a plate and separate the green and white part. bit hard to do but trick is to squeeze the white part from two sides, pull, and rotate until it’s out. then you have all this tamarind paste(?)

My cousin used to have a Mexican friend who always launched pool parties at her house and all the kids gave everyone this candy. It was like a mix of a syrup/paste of spices, lime, etc.

I haven’t eaten the candy since because I thought they didn’t sell anymore in the U.S.
