This is a great video!  I am finally able to see both the short term and long term goals and how they ultimately work together.  I am wondering whether you have the chart available on your website somewhere.  In the years to come I can see myself needing reminders of what to work towards next, and a printed chart in my homeschool organizer would be very helpful!

I recently decided to switch to a Charlotte Mason approach in my homeschool, and I am very excited. I gradually added the easier subjects, like Picture Study, Music Study, Literature, and Nature Study. I am getting ready to get more involved with the method, with subjects like History, Geography, Bible, and Language Arts. We are a Spanish-speaking family and I would love to help my children learn English as a second language. Do you think I could start using this same approach to teach them English? By the way, this is the first time that I see this chart of the Natural Progression of Language Arts, and it makes so much sense, I really appreciate you sharing this useful information!

Will someone please tell me when learning about noun, verb, etc comes into play? I know she says grade 4-8 would be a good time, but should we use a grammar book?

I have a 9 year old daughter I’ve been educating with CM methods her whole childhood. She’ll enter form 2 work this autumn and I have figured out how I’ll do grammar and dictation, but I’m still having trouble understanding how to begin written narrations with her. Do you have any guidance in this area?
