Positive punishment is a concept in psychology where an unpleasant stimulus is added after a behavior to decrease the likelihood of that behavior occurring again. For example, scolding a child for misbehavior adds an aversive experience, aiming to reduce the unwanted action. It's different from negative punishment, where something desirable is taken away to reduce behavior.
