It’s heartbreaking to hear about your cat, I can’t imagine going through that. Our house had similar damage to this, we were in a hotel for like a month. Some people said it should’ve taken them way longer to rebuild the house than that. But I don’t know. There was a smell that never went away. We moved about a year and a half latter.

It’s amazing how much smoke gets everywhere from just one room fire and ruins everything, even though the fire doesn’t get to other rooms. Same goes with how much heat damages things from other ends of the house or building.
It’s pretty scary though

I'm really sorry to see the damage it took, I also imagine it's one of the most painful ways to lose your cats. I'm glad the dogs are safe, but sad the cats didn't make it. Also sounds quite odd it took longer than a year for the nailed wire to arc into flames.

How did everything turn out? Just had a similar fire in my home but it actually took out and entire wall downstairs. Every room is covered in smoke from ceiling to the floors. Just wondered how yours turned out after everything and what kinda time it took
