This is the 4th time I've tested this glue in this fashion in the last 4 years. No one has done this with their favorite glue, so I guess by default Advantech SFA wins ;-)

Its amazing that this is even possible without atleast 24 simpson straps with 486 nails per sq. in.

After 30 plus years of painting I’m now giving framing a shot as a career. I have to say. This guy seems like a blast to work for.

I can tell this guy does things well and professionally. You can just see that some people are with it and think further than the crowd. Seems like an honest and cool guy to work with. Greetings from Finland! 🇫🇮

I'm pretty sure Titebond and even Elmer's would pass this test. Not taking anything away from polyurethane glue. But I'm guessing most glues would pass this test w/o any issues.

I'm not saying the foam adhesive doesn't work. But. I have to question the results of using it. Theres always a weak point in anything. Like making metal super hard, it becomes weak in a way. Adhesive has a little flex. It appears as though this stuff won't allow any flex. So if the joists settle, and all that pressure is put on the adhesive, what will give first? With traditional subfloor adhesive, and enough of it, in my mind it allows a little flexibility. If that stuff appears to be so thin, and so hard, the wood itself could splinter. I know there's a name to the part that splits, but i can't remember it. Just using wood glue in woodworking. The glue doesn't break, the wood itself does

adding the twist is a very nice way to unload your spine... but the jump down will just screw it up again

We used that glue plus screw/nail technique back in 2008 in the whole high end house frame, floors, trusses... No any squeak ever! Super strong structure 💪

I had to remove a few sheets of plywood that was stapled down and glued down with polyurethane adhesive same stuff as he used. I had to use a long pry bar to remove the piece of plywood off the floor joists . it tore and broke apart the plywood before it would break the hold and let go. this stuff is so strong that they use it on mobile home floors. when a really strong hurricane's coming through, the roof and walls are gone but the plywood subfloor and floor joists are still there left behind holding strong.

I assume that the company knows, this as advertisement..
We use hundreads of sheets, of subfloor for a new build and re-use them for our temporary purpose.
Super high quality, super value/cost.

Maybe I’ll try this with PL for a vid. I’ll bring an aerobic trampoline just in case

Probably testing the strength of the edge of the manufacturer I beams than any glue between them and the 2 by.

WOWZERrrr!!! I build catamarans, and now am going to try this with the Epoxy (w/additives) I use. That IS great "glue". Think its Marine-rated??

Have to agree with some others that in terms of holding strength - I imagine a lot of glues could do this. Such as properly applied hot glue. That doesn’t mean those glues perform in all the same ways this speciality glue does!

Im pretty sure elmers wood glue will do the exact same thing, especially giving it a week to cure.
