Margot Robbie's "Babylon" has severely bombed at the box office during its opening Christmas weekend. According to Variety, the film grossed a measly $3.6 million from 3000+ venues over the weekend, and $5.3 million through Monday. With a budget of roughly $80 million, this will almost surely result in a massive financial loss for Paramount. Furthermore, given its C+ CinemaScore and over 3-hour runtime, it’s unlikely that audiences will be returning for repeat viewings. I see why that happened. It went up against Avatar 2. But I watched this movie, it wasn’t bad. Definitely don’t bring any kids to this movie. Had the movie cut down on the nudity, and focused more on the story, it could have been a brilliant movie.
