Court decided that that new law for the BOI is unconstitutional for LLC’s. So that Dailey fine they were threatening us with is gone. You do not have to do it.

Our CPA told us earlier this year in Feb to hold off to the last minute to file, because it was unconstitutional. He said yesterday to us, the same thing but have everything ready to go, if in the event the Injunction is lifted and stayed prior to the end of the year. He also said only 8.5 million to 10 million of the estimated of the 32.6 million entities that are subject to filing have submitted their BOI reports. They must have good CPA's like we do 😊

I don't have an LLC and am not registered with the state with no plans to.

Bad advise. A judge put an injunction on this. It's a violation of your rights

It was also posted on my state website when I renewed my LLC, as a link that needed to be completed. (Michigan)

I am an ebay seller and I do not have an LLC, does that fall in the category as sole proprietor ?

But that's the whole point of an LLC = Limited Liability. The government doesn't need to know the owner's info because the owner's are protected from liability if someone sues the LLC for a broken dog leash, etc. The company's info is already registered with the state if you want to sue the company.

Terrible advice. This is unconstitutional. They always make it sound grand to violate your rights. Federal judge stopped it due to irreparable harm to business owners. Parts of this law have already been declared unconstitutional, and chances are better than not that the BOI section will be too.

So this only applies to those of us who have registered businesses right? Cuz we know most resellers don’t and are hobby sellers, and these companies (eBay/ amazon/ poshmark, etc) don’t require anyone to be a registered business owner to sell no their sights 🤔
