The best book on Christian Church history is Bruce L. Shelley's; Church History in Plain Language. I've read that book almost more times then the bible.

Dr White please forgive me if this is a stupid question, but are you saying you are a different religion than the apostles? different religion than Abraham? If they would banish you as a pastor then, then doesn't that mean you're doing something wrong? I am trying to understand.

This q is for Jeff I heard you say in a video that the levitical dietary laws do not apply anymore even though the law does. I am trying to understand but I still think they apply. Can you please explain how? Thanks. My husband and I left the church or christ denomination Feb 2018 and we are just doing our best. I was in it my whole life until I was 30. I have been reading/ re reading the bible now for almost 2 years and studying Greek and Hebrew and we watch lots of Torah study videos now. But we have a lot to unlearn and discover. .

Peter's vision was not about food or the law and when jesus says it is not what enters a man that defiles etc that whole thing is only about talmudic/traditional ritual handwashing which they added to the word. I know apologia knows this I'm just adding these here in case anyone else replies and includes these topics.
