Behar realized that she stepped in it and backed down like a frightened squirrel when McConaughey came at her with great force. When she caved so quickly, it appeared that he pulled his punch a little, in a manner of speaking, so as to not appear so aggressive. He gave it to her, though, and she got the message loud and clear it appeared.
