Thanks Steve for the advice, followed it to the letter, and it paid off big time. I emailed 8 owners of potential bikes, 4 replied within a few hours with pics and a quick write up on the bike. I selected one of the bikes, a Peloton + that was just over 2 and a half years old, it had been used 12 times in 2 and a half years. And like yours was stored in another room collecting dust. The owner bought it new from peloton as they had the receipts and emails to prove this. She just wanted the space clearing, I paid £850 for it, which I feel is a great price, saving over £1000 pounds on the current price and nearly £1700 pounds on the original purchase price… a word of warning to anybody buying one, follow Steve’s advice to the letter. It’s not going to be absolutely fool proof, but for me it weeded out the scammers and fraudsters and gave me and idea what to look for, and the scammers still haven’t replied to my email a week later… even though two of the bikes have been Relisted. Alarm bells 🔔 ringing… if the bike looks like it’s too good to be true.. it probably is!!!

Both my bike+ and tread were used. I got the bike+ a year ago for 1400 (after selling an normal bike for 1250) and got the tread for 1100 with weights too. Pretty happy with both

Hi Steve, Just to let the community know I bought a second hand Original bike after watching this. It was 7 months old and came with the select package.The bike has most of the transportation protection still on it. The accessories that came with the select package were all unopened apart from the cycling Matt of course. To be honest I was wanting a bike plus but I managed to get the bike for £750. ohhh and an added bonus its has a gel seat lol

Great video! I agree that we are starting to see lots more peloton bikes on the second hand market. I would just caution potential buyers to check carefully for any noise coming from the front hub wheel bearing assembly. Any "ticking/clicking" sound means you have bearings that have failed, and the cost to have it replaced (service call + parts) could add another $300. I have a habit of going through bearings pretty frequently (4-6 months), but luckily my extended warranty covers it all...for now!

Picking up a Peleton bike on Friday which has apparently only been used a few times. Not the + model though but really happy as it's more than half the price of a new one 😊

Great video! So glad to see and hear you got a Bike+ back. At least in the US, extended warranties are now transferrable to a buyer on the secondary market but only for bikes and warranties purchased after April 2022 I believe. I’m not sure about UK/Germany/Australia.

I’m thinking of buying a used Peloton Plus bike anted to make sure I could transport it in my SUV. It looks like you just loosened the adjustment knobs and removed the entire handle bar assembly as well as the entire seat post assembly. Do they remove by simply lifting up and out?
