I still want to see Yahtzee played with DnD dice. Using a d6, d8, d10, d12, and d20.

It would lead to interesting evolutions of strategy. 6 or lower are still the only numbers that can get a Yahtzee, 8 or lower are what can get four of a kind, 10 or lower three of a kind, and 13 or lower for a straight. But three of a kind and four of a kind score the total of all dice, not just the ones that match. So if you roll a natural 20, do you keep it in the hopes of rolling three or four of something else and picking 20 bonus point? Do you keep it and hope for other high numbers to pick up a ridiculous Chance score? Or do you reroll it and hope for a low number to fill out your board? In theory the game would have a lot of zero tallies from failing to roll anything, broken up by absurdly high tallies when something hits.
