Preserved Lemon Peels! #Shorts

Save your lemon peels to make preserved lemons!

Ingredients:
- Rinds from 4-5 lemons
- 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup of kosher salt

Instructions:
1. Boil your lemon rinds for about 30 minutes until softened
2. Transfer the rinds to a bowl
3. Add the oil and salt
4. Store in the fridge

WARNING! these will be salty.

The salt helps to keep them preserved, if too salty you can always rinse before using, but typically I just don’t include any other salt in the recipes I’m using so it balances out.

I like to use this in my homemade hummus, but my personal favorite is to make a lemony pasta!
