Being pulled over on electric unicycle

Was being stupid changing lanes too much and trying to draft a truck in front of a police officer. He pulls me over to have a friendly safety and traffic law chat.

The cop is right. I thought you were turning left when you got on the left lane. Try to stay low key when riding. You don't want to attract to much attention. The last thing we need is for these law makers to ban EUC's.

After looking at the video over again... the cop was right and polite... We definitely want to avoid unnecessary new laws for EUCs....use the bike lane.

Great video! That’s a good cop. He was polite and just gave you a warning. You also showed respect to him which always helps in getting on their good side. Cops have always been OK with me too in riding the roads in my town. As long as I am respectful of others around me, the cops never gave me a problem here in NJ.

Good interaction on both your parts. The officer is right. Never tailgate a vehicle that you cannot see around. I ride a 1000cc motorcycle...started small and worked my way up. I never tailgate and I always make sure that if I'm behind a vehicle that I'm to it's left or it's right side so I can see 5 or more cars lengths ahead for actual or potential hazards and this tactic also gives me an additional straight path of travel in case traffic in front suddenly slows to where I don't have to worry about rear ending the vehicle in front of me. If you make position, space, speed and time your friend based on the environmental conditions, you'll be riding injury free for many years. Thanks for the vid!
