Me and my buddy Vinny went for a ride to get some footage of his 1973 750 Motorcycle. And got the attention of this officer. At the end of the day the guy was very professional and wasn't rude or mean. I wanted to ask him a few questions about getting plates for my Sur ron but I didn't have my license ID on me! Could have been worse

I was a Calif. cop for 30 years (Marin and Sonoma counties) we are not all A-holes. Also been riding/owning motorcycles from Cushman scooters in the early 60's to Harleys and everything in between. I'm 76 now and still riding. I always gave more warnings than tickets to bikers.

Accelerating quickly to 45 or whatever mph at a light isn't a very good way to convince a cop you're bike is only 750w 🤦‍♂️

*Top tip* : If the Officer lets you go with a warning, say "thank you"
and shut the hell up. I know several people who managed to talk themself back into a fine.

The officer was cool in this video at least he was listening and being casual with all the situation. It is also stressful for the cops who have to make sure laws are followed and people comply. You guys did good and you had a good and positive experience. Respect and understanding one another goes a long way.

Cop did you a real solid there. $600.00 for noise abatement is more than the cost of fixing that bike. The cop is right though Most folks really don't want to hear all that racket.
