Is ‘green’ one thing or many? The Partaking Relation in Plato’s 'Parmenides'

Before we start philosophizing, we believe that the color green is real and that there are really green things. But, how exactly do these two things relate to each other? Do green things get a part of the color green or does the color green exist wholly wherever green things exist? This is a problem Plato presents for his doctrine of the Forms in his dialogue the “Parmenides.”
